He was previously the Goetz Professor of law at New York University and the Chairperson of Scholl at Toronto University. The “Center for constitution Transitions” is directed by Sujit. It has worked with over fifty experts of over 25 countries in conjunction with NGO’s, Think Tanks and a network of global organizations. Sujit Choudhry’s contribution in making the constitution-making process easier

Sujit Choudhry, the director of the Center for Constitutional Transitions, was among top constitutional scholars who congregated on July 10th in Kiev to discuss the Ukraine crisis. The group discussed at length the several factors crippling the Ukrainian constitution. The meeting was graced by top thought leaders in Ukraine alongside other nongovernmental organizations.

Sujit Choudhry is an international Authority on constitutional law and politics. He is the director of the Center for Constitutional Transitions and uses that nonprofit to spread awareness of the constitutional process throughout the world.

It’s no wonder then, that the country of Ukraine wanted him to come in and guide them in the process of crafting their constitution.

On July 10th Sujit Choudhry met with a Ukrainian officials as well as a think tank to begin the process of forming a correct Constitution. He immediately saw three different problems. The first problem was that they had concentrated too much the power of the president. The second problem was that legislature electoral systems where all in chaos. The last problem was they have weak political parties running for office.
