Sujit Choudhry’s contribution in making the constitution-making process easier

Sujit Choudhry, the director of the Center for Constitutional Transitions, was among top constitutional scholars who congregated on July 10th in Kiev to discuss the Ukraine crisis. The group discussed at length the several factors crippling the Ukrainian constitution. The meeting was graced by top thought leaders in Ukraine alongside other nongovernmental organizations.

On the meeting, Sujit Choudhry cited some challenges facing the Ukraine government such as problems in introducing democracy, unstable presidential power, and weak political parties among other problems.  Related article on

Sujit commented that it was a privilege and a step towards solving inaccuracies to discuss the subject matter in front of experts with so much to contribute. Mr. Choudhry is the professor of law at the University of California. He is famous because of his work in constitutional making and law. Sujit was born in the year 1970 and has masters’ degree from Harvard School of Law. In a discussion that took place in Kiev, Ukraine in July of this year, Sujit Choudhry gave his view on the political challenges the country is presently experiencing, citing that the instability of the government’s democratic process, as well as weak political parties is most likely the cause of the issue. Sujit Choudhry, who is a native of New Delhi, India, is an expert in the field of comparative constitutional law. He not only serves as a legal advisor in his own country, but also in other places, such as, Libya, Egypt, South Africa and Sri Lanka. He is a Rhodes Scholar that obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oxford. From 2014 to 2016, Choudhry was the dean of the Berkeley School of Law in California. He was the first Indian-born person to have been given the honor to hold that position at a top law school in the United States. He is currently the director at the Constitutional Transitions center, as well as a Professor of Law at Berkeley, and he has authored a number of books, including Migration of Constitutional Ideas, International Society of Public Law, and Constitution Making.  Check

Sujit Choudhry holds the Founding Director position of the Center for Constitutional Transitions. Sujit Choudhry acquires professionals from different countries; currently, the firm has more than 50 experts. Sujit’s idea was inspired by the many years he has worked as a constitutional advisor. His role also entailed writing new constitutions as well as amending old ones. Sujit Choudhry realized that during the transitions process there are limitations when it comes to information. Sujit Choudhry is Making Law

Sujit Choudhry is an international Authority on constitutional law and politics. He is the director of the Center for Constitutional Transitions and uses that nonprofit to spread awareness of the constitutional process throughout the world.

Sujit Choudhry’s goal is to increase knowledge of constitutional writing and spread the application of that knowledge to government officials, who have the power to change law. It’s no wonder then, that the country of Ukraine wanted him to come in and guide them in the process of crafting their constitution.

On July 10th Sujit Choudhry met with a Ukrainian officials as well as a think tank to begin the process of forming a correct Constitution. He immediately saw three different problems. The first problem was that they had concentrated too much the power of the president. The second problem was that legislature electoral systems where all in chaos. The last problem was they have weak political parties running for office.
